THE NEW STANDARD IN MANUAL PERFORMER TRACKING

WHAT'S NEW IN FOLLOW-ME DELT∆

MAJOR SOFTWARE FEATURES IN DELT∆

ADVANCED ZONING CAPABILITIES

Automate your show based on performer position

Follow-Me DELT∆ introduces powerful zoning capabilities, allowing actions to take place automatically based on the position of the performer.

Zones can trigger a wide range of system behaviours, including enabling, assigning or fading fixtures, triggering mappings and muting tags. Everything is fully customizable to match your show requirements.

A new Zone Editor in the 3D Window makes creating zones intuitive, with tools for circles, rectangles, and complex polygons. Zones can also be displayed directly in the Video Window for clear visual reference during setup and operation.

Mappings can control whether rules are enabled or disabled, allowing zone rules to be activated or ignored for individual targets. This makes it easy to automate lighting behaviour as performers move across the stage.

BEAMMAP FEATURE

Consistent beams across the entire stage

BeamMap ensures consistent intensity, focus, and beam size across your entire tracking area.

Based on the position of the performer, BeamMap automatically adjusts fixture parameters such as Intensity, Zoom and Focus.

BeamMap is configured through a dedicated BeamMap editor in the 3D Window. The editor lists fixtures on the left and allows you to define values for each parameter you want to control. This makes it easy to maintain a consistent beam look across the entire stage area without setting values in each individual calibration point.

BeamMap replaces Follow-Me 3D's Intensity from Calibration feature.

SHOW STATUS WINDOW

Know everything, at a glance

The new Show Status Window provides a powerful overview of your system during setup and live operation.

You can customize the window to match your preferences, choosing which widgets to display and where they appear. Available widgets provide real-time insight into include Fixture intensity flow, DMX activity, Camera settings and Control channel overviews.

The Show Status Window is ideal for both system configuration and live show monitoring, and its layout is saved as part of your DELT∆ showfile.

OPERATOR VIEWS

More control and visibility for operators with the Operator Box

The Follow-Me DELT∆ Operator Box unlocks powerful new capabilities for operators. Operators can control their assigned target and adjust the zoom level to focus more precisely on the performer they are tracking. Especially as the system comes with the DELT∆ 4K Camera Set providing a more detailed view for the operators.

The interface can display information overlays such as target intensity, beam size, and zOffset, allowing operators to monitor important parameters whilst tracking the performer.

Operators can also receive messages and notes, sent through the Follow-Me DELT∆ system or directly from the lighting desk.

This gives operators better visibility and more accurate control during live performances.

MVR and CSV IMPORT ASSISTANTS

Import fixture data directly from your lighting plans

The MVR Import Assistant allows you to import fixture patch information and fixture positions directly from MVR files.

Follow-Me DELT∆ also includes a CSV Import Assistant for updating fixture patch and position data. This can significantly speed up your setup.

A built-in CSV editor allows you to review and adjust the data before importing it into your showfile.

FURTHER DELT∆ SOFTWARE ADDITIONS

3D Window improvements

The 3D Window has been improved with a range of additions:

  • Improved navigation in the 3D world with mouse and keyboard
  • Ability to easily create circles and a 3-point arc
  • Ability to switch between Mesh, Zones, and BeamMap editors
  • Support for multiple 3D scenes in 3D Tools
  • Improved handling of 3D scenes with clear error messages if a model is not accepted
  • Cursor working height and camera preset views moved to 3D Tools

Camera setting presets

Follow-Me DELT∆ allows you to store and recall camera configurations using Camera Settings Presets. In the Camera tab, Simply adjust the camera settings and press the Create with current settings to store the configuration.

Presets can be recalled in several ways:

  • Using the Recall button in the Camera Settings Presets box
  • With a User mapping

This makes it easy to quickly switch between camera configurations during the show.

Fixture multi patch

The new fixture multi patch feature allows multiple fixtures to be patched into the showfile at once.

In the Fixtures tab you can simply set the Fixture type, number of fixtures, Universe, Fixture ID, DMX offset, and control channels, and Follow-Me will patch them directly into your showfile.

Find this new fixture multi patch feature in the Fixtures tab, under the fixtures table.

Documentation viewer

Follow-Me DELT∆ now includes an integrated documentation viewer.

Documentation is accessible through the Help menu and always corresponds to the version of the software you are using. Buttons throughout the software can also take you directly to the documentation for the relevant feature.

Masking on fixture basis

Groups can now mask specific fixtures or all fixtures, allowing you to define exactly which fixtures should be masked for individual objects.

Under Tracking Area > CalPoints & Mesh > Groups, simply indicate whether you want to mask all fixtures, or indicate certain fixtures to be masked when its beam would hit the object.

Target home position

Targets now have a configurable home X, Y, Z position. By default this position is 0,0,0, but it can be customised in Targets > Limits.

When a showfile is opened, targets are automatically placed at their home position.

Additional buttons in the Targets tab allow you to send a target to their home position, the origin point, or to a specific selected calibration point.

DELT∆ Fixture control profile

Follow-Me DELT∆ introduces a new 8-channel fixture control profile. This profile provides access to x-offset and y-offset control directly from the lighting desk, over channel 6 and 7. Customize its limits under Fixtures > Control Channels.

You also have the ability to switch back to the 3D control profile at any moment, by setting the control mode from DELT∆ to 3D in the Control Channels sub-tab.
