Eurovision Song Contest 2025 – What a show it was!
This year, the iconic Eurovision Song Contest landed in the vibrant city of Basel, Switzerland, and what followed was nothing short of a mega production. With 9 breathtaking live Arena shows and millions of viewers worldwide tuning in for the semi-finals and grand final, the event delivered a spectacle of music, technology, and creativity.
At the heart of this dazzling experience was the lighting design by Tim Routledge and his design team— dynamic, immersive, and meticulously designed to enhance every performance. Behind the scenes, Follow-Me was proud to play a key role in making it all happen. Our tracking solution Follow-Me 3D was integral to the visual magic on stage, enabling flawless coordination across a complex setup.
Throughout the production, Follow-Me facilitated precise performer tracking across all 9 shows. Our system was connected to 118 fixtures, almost all mounted on moving trusses, delivering accurate real-time tracking that elevated every artist’s moment under the spotlight. It was a complex technical challenge. Bianca Mastroianni, Follow-Me Tech, faced this challenge head-on and did an amazing job!
In this video Tim Routledge explains he uses Follow-Me in the Eurovision 2025 production.
